Starting a Raid is quite simple. You can just follow the steps given below to start a new raid.

  • To start a Raid, you must type /raid followed by the name of the channel you want to raid in your chat. This works if you have a specific channel in mind. If you wish to raid a channel at random, you can click on the Raid Channel quick action on the dashboard and select one of the suggested channels.
  • Once you have chosen to start a Raid, a notification will appear at the top of your chat with the number of viewers in the Raid and a countdown. Viewers that do not wish to accompany you on the raid can opt-out during this time.
  • You can click on the Raid now option after 10 seconds to redirect all your viewers to the targeted channel.
  • Once your Raid is live on the channel, a message will appear in the target channel’s chat notifying them about the raid and the number of viewers.

The best time to Raid a channel is at the end of your stream. This way you will have a steady stream of viewers throughout your stream and you can take them to a different channel at the end. If you Raid another channel while you are still online, all your current viewers will be redirected from your channel to the targeted one.
