- Go to your profile in the Threads App.

- There you will find two lines on the top right corner of the screen.

- It will take you to the Meta Accounts Centre.
- Below payments tap on “See more in the Accounts Centre”.
- Then go to Personal details.
- In the end, you will find Account ownership and control.
- Once you tap on it, you will get the Deactivation or deletion option.
- Select the account you want to delete and press the Delete account option.
- Choose the reason for deletion and re-enter your password and press continue.
- Confirm the permanent deletion of your account.
Doing this will permanently, not only delete your Threads account but also your Instagram account. So be careful before doing so. The only explanation for this is that your threads account is linked to your Instagram account. Your account gets deleted in the next 30 days so there might be a chance you could retrieve it before that’s done.
