The only way to get Mew in Sword and shield is by using the Poke ball plus accessory. You can buy the Poke ball plus separately or buy the game and Poke ball plus in a bundle pack. Once you have connected the poke ball plus follow the below-mentioned steps to get Mew.

  •  Go to the game settings and then go to the “Mystery Gift” option
  • Select the “take a stroll with Poke ball plus” option and you will hear a Mew cry sound
  • You will see an option that will say you have got a Pokemon in your poke ball would you like to get it
  • Click on “yes” and you will get your Mew

Players should know that if you bought the Poke ball plus with Let’s go Eevee or Let’s go Pikachu and have claimed your Mew in those games you won’t be able to get Mew here.
