In this instalment of Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds, we are welcomed into the world of Evermore. This is a fantasy virtual reality world where you get to choose to play as one of a couple of characters and classes. In the game, you will also come across some very important Familiars. Learning how to tame them is an important skill in the game. Whether it is to train the new Familiars or use them as food for the ones that you already have. Here is your guide on how to tame a Familiar in Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds.
How to Tame Familiars in Ni No Kuni
In Ni No Kuni, learning how to tame familiars is easy. The first thing that you need to get is some Biscuits which you can find in-game but is easier to find in the store. You can find them in the Adventure items section and then under the Basic Shop tab. While there are seven types of biscuits, per account, you can only buy 30 from the store per week. Not every Familiar likes the same type of biscuit and so, you should make sure that you stock up before hunting these Familiars down. Experiment with Familiars and the treats that suit each kind of creature! Make sure to keep the biscuits for Familiars above one star. As one-star Familiars can be tamed without biscuits as well.
After getting the biscuits, it’s time to get out into the world and find a Brighterfly that will lead you to test your biscuits and ability to tame in Ni No Kuni. Why are they called Brighterflies? Well, this is because they are bright-blue butterflies that spawn randomly near monsters. That’s all we know at least. You can easily come across these Brighterflies, even at the beginning of the game itself. And will mostly find them on the lower areas of the map. Note, look around Golden Grove, near Mushroom Rock Valley if you’re desperate to find them.
Once you are able to find one or more, simply get close to the creature and a hand icon should appear alongside your action icons. Now, tap the hand to reveal the Familiar that you will get to tame in Ni No Kuni. The hand icon should now turn into a heart. Click on it to feed your (hopefully) new friend the biscuit. If the Familiar accepts the biscuit then congratulations! You have tamed your first Familiar. However, if it doesn’t then you’re just going to have to keep trying till you get it right. That is only till the timer runs out, of course.
Finding the Phantom Butterfly reputation quest
When you get to level 27, you will get the ‘Finding the Phantom Butterfly’ reputation quest from Sebastian who is also the Friend of the Familiars. This quest will teach you the basics of how to catch and tame the Familiars in Ni No Kuni.
