The Arcanist is similar to a “mage-like” character in Grim Dawn. They believe that the manifestation of magic is not some unexplainable mystery or the will of the gods, but a science. Arcanists can take advantage of Fire, Cold, Lightning, and Aether elemental damage. And with the right choice, you will be able to take Chaos damage. Certain skills will require a caster off-hand to equip. They tend to stay at a distance during the battle and are best to be paired with a one-handed gun.
Grim Dawn Spellbreaker (Arcanist/Nightblade) Build – Frozen III: Grim Song

Grim Dawn Commando (Demolitionist/Soldier) Build – Hot Drinks
Summary: Fire/Physical Melee Bruiser
- Two-handed weapons will be the best choice to get the best results.
- This build will end up using all of your Mastery Points.
- You can drop Menhir’s Will to upgrade Flashbang or Stun Jacks instead and wait until you have acquired a specific weapon.
- Increase your Fire and Burn damage along with resistance.
- Make use of Flashbangs/Stun Jacks whenever needed.
