GodLike Esports To Represent India At PMGC 2021 – Here’s Why

Not Skylightz Gaming, GodLike Esports will represent India at PMGC 2021.

If there is any tournament that people are more excited about right now, it is PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021, which is scheduled to be held between January 21 to January 23, 2022. As soon as the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (2021) concluded with Skylightz Gaming emerging as the Winner, there have been various reports claiming that Skylightz Gaming will be representing India in PMGC 2021 but the reports turn out to be fake.

Yes, you read that right! Skylightz Gaming would not be representing India in PMGC 2021, which is taking place next week.

According to the latest media reports, GodLike Esports — which bagged the fourth position in BGIS 2021 — will be representing India in PMGC 2021. You must be wondering how is it possible. Don’t you?

For the unversed, India was given an invitation slot at PMGC Grand Finals 2021 and the winner of BGIS 2021 was supposed to represent the country at the International level.

According to the rules of the tournament, Skylightz Gaming was supposed to be representing India at PMGC 2021 but their name has reportedly been removed from the Invitational slot because they don’t have all the required documents to travel abroad to play in the PMGC 2021 Grand Finals. Notably, GodLike will fly to Dubai to represent India in PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021.

Not only Skylightz Gaming but also Team XO and TSM — who bagged second and third position, respectively in BGIS 2021 —  could not provide the necessary documents, providing a golden opportunity to GodLike to represent India at a global level.

To play in PMGC 2021, players are required to have a passport with at least six months validity. Besides having a passport, they must be vaccinated and tested negative in the Covid test. Since Skylightz Gaming could not meet the requirements, their names have been removed from the Invitational slot.

According to reports, Team GodLike Esports has fulfilled the requirements and hence, they will be flying to Dubai to represent India at the PMGC 2021 Grand Finals.
