As the name suggests, secret areas will be somewhere you wouldn’t guess. In order to get secret area, the best way is to jump when you are at a higher place. This way, you can check if there are any platforms placed above.
If you spot a platform floating in the air, it is your secret area. You simply have to find a way to reach over there. Try jumping in the air near that platform, as you might find a cloud or a smaller platform that would navigate you to the area.
These clouds or smaller platforms are invisible until you touch them. Once you come in contact with them, you will see them. However, not necessarily the areas would be above your head. They can also be beneath the usual platform.
To check that, you have to jump below fearlessly. There is a chance you might end up on another platform. Even if you don’t, you will not waste a life. You will only lose 5 points from your health, which you can restore easily by eating food in the game.
