Demon Slayer is one of the most hyped anime of the year and on its way to becoming the Anime of the year. The anime has a variety of characters and all of them have a rich backstory or a tragic origin. Yoriichi Tsugikuni’s Backstory
Yoriichi and his twin brother Michikatsu were born 400 years ago. Yoriichi looked up to his elder brother a lot and also promised to help him become the best Samurai in the world.
He didn’t speak a word until he was 7. His parents were convinced that he was deaf or mute but he was just very introverted. Yoriichi was born with a mysterious mark on his face. The mark and the fact that having twins at that time was considered a bad sign made his Father despise him.
Even though he had a troubled childhood Yoriichi Tsugikuni become the world’s best Samurai and soon become the best Demon slayer. Yoriichi went to on to almost beat Muzan, the most powerful demon. Even though Muzan got away but Yoriichi successfully incited fear in him, which was very clear in his eyes.
The guilt of Muzan getting away was very heavy for Yoriichi. Yoriichi got to know his brother has become a demon and betrayed the Demon corps.
Yoriichi confronts his brother but things get out f hand and they start attacking each other. Yoriichi slits Michiktsu throat a bit but before dying Michiktsu kills Yoriichi as well hence bringing an end to one of the most feared Demon Slayer.
Yoriichi died at the age of 85, most of the demon slayers die before they turn 25. This shows how great Yoriichi was and how unbeatable he was.
