Unfortunately, there has been no official announcement regarding the release date of Overlord season 4. During the AnimagiC convention — which took place in Germany back in 2019, the writer of this novel Kugane Maruyama was asked about its possible release date, he did not say a word about the Overlord season 4 release date.

Notably, the scriptwriter Yukie Sugawara was the guest honor of the same convention, when he was asked the same question, he did not reveal the release date of Overlord Season 4 but said that the next season will be released in the future.

According to reports, the production company had just started working on Overlord 4 and the Outbreak of Coronavirus Pandemic took place, which caused an indefinite delay. However, if anything to go by Madhouse, Overlord Season 4 will be released by the end of this year.

As soon as the official release date of Overlord S04 is released, we will update this section.

Overlord Season 4 Plot

If anything to go by previous seasons, all Overlord Season is based on three volumes of the Novel series. Since there are five Volumes are still remaining in the novel series, the next season of Overlord will be based on 10th, 11th, and 12th Volumes.

The title of the 10th Volume is ‘The Ruler Of Conspiracy’, which revolves around Ains Ooal Gown and his decision of turning his entire Kingdom into a paradise. There are plenty of things that we will be witnessing the next season as the 10th Volume also cover the story of rulers of multiple countries.

As per the story of Volume 10, rulers of multiple countries will leave no stone unturned to fight against Ainz because they are not happy with the rising popularity of him and his strong and beautiful Kingdom.

The title of the 11th Volume is ‘The Craftsman of Dwarf’, which revolves around Ainz heading towards the Dwarf Kingdom to find the lost Rune Magic. Notably, he has Shalltear Bloodfallen and Aura Bella Fiaoa along with him on the journey.

When Ainz gets there, he gets to know that he is under attack by a demi-human race called Quagoa. At his bad time, he gets support from the Dwarf Runesmith to fight against Quagoa. It would not be easy for them to face Quagoa because they are quite powerful.

The 12th Volume is titled “The Paladin of the Holy Kingdom”, which revolves around the Demon Emperor, Jaldabaoth. This Volume also has a story of the Great Wall of the Holy Kingdom’s destruction. For the uninformed, Jaldabath was the Supreme Command of the allied force, who wants other Kingdoms to be destroyed.

Upon getting a request from the Liberation Army, Ainz comes forward and destroys the Demon Emperor and his army.

Overlord Season 4 Trailer

Since the production house has not yet confirmed the release date of Overlord Season 4, talking about its trailer is too early. As soon as the developer unleashes the trailer for Overlord 4, we will update this section.

Till then, you can watch the trailer for the previous season.

How Many Episode Will Overlord Season 4 Have?

The first three seasons of the series consist of 13 episodes each but the upcoming season of Overlord could have 15 or more episodes. The only reason why we are saying it the entire novel has 14 Volumes and each season is based on 3 volumes. If the fourth season of Overlord covers only three Volumes as well then the developer will only have two volumes left.

Instead of launching Overlord Season 5, it is likely that the creator of the series will increase the number of episodes in the next season and cover all the five remaining volumes.

That’s all you need to know about Overlord Season 4.
