Players often quit playing due to this reason, after giving multiple new accounts a try. The developer Jagex, does not allow players to delete their characters as of now. This is because when a character is created, it is upgraded to the Jagex account and added there. It is done to save the character and its progress, permanently. Which is why, you cannot delete the character once added to the account.
But you can add your current OSRS character to your Jagex account, to secure your progress and upgrades in the following way.
How to Save Current OSRS Character to Jagex Account
- Create a Jagex account with your email address.
- Log into your RuneScape account and press the Upgrade button.
- Then return to your Runescape character and follow the steps given.
- Add up to 20 Runescape characters to the Jagex account.
- By clicking on Import existing.
- You cannot remove the characters once added to your Jagex account.
- Characters that are banned and not eligible to play won’t be able to import into your account.
