With the arrival of Wild Rift Patch 3.1, a lot of new changes have arrived in the mobile version of LoL: Wild Rift. The Patch update has added new champions, game modes, features, and events in the game. Released on March 24th, 2022, this update also brings the Elemental Rift to Wild Rift. While Elemental Rift was already present in the PC version of the game, it is now making its way to the mobile version of Wild Rift. Let us take a look at what players can expect from this new feature in the game.
Elemental Rift In Wild Rift Explained
Elemental Rift is a limited game mode that is being introduced in Wild Rift. Mountain, Infernal, and Ocean Dragons will change the terrain of the map and give powerful buffs to players. However, the Cloud Dragon has been kept out of this trial version. This does not mean that the Dragon is out for good. In fact, the developers have strongly hinted that the Cloud dragon may be a part of further updates. Players can experience the Elemental Rift game mode from March 31 at 05:00 PM PT until April 10 at 04:59 PM PT.
Riot Games have explained in their Patch Notes how the map will change after the death of the second dragon. As per Riot Games:
Mountain Rift
Forges new terrain in the jungle, along with a defensive wall in front of the Dragon pit.
Infernal Rift
Burns away brush and opens new pathways to red and blue buff.
Ocean Rift
Spawns more brushes across the map along with some extra Honeyfruit!
Slaying each Dragon grants your team some bonuses, but once you slay three Dragons, you get a powerful soul:
Mountain Dragon:
Increases your armor and magic resist
Mountain Soul:
Grants a shield after not taking damage for a short while
Infernal Dragon:
Grants your team bonus Attack Damage and Ability Power
Infernal Soul:
Creates explosions around your abilities and attacks, dealing bonus adaptive damage in a circle around your target
Ocean Dragon:
Restores health over time
Ocean Soul:
Restores more health when dealing damage to enemies
