Valorant is a first-person, multiplayer shooter game. With its second anniversary coming, it has managed to keep players engaged and excited for what is to come. With the introduction of new agents, E-sports tournaments, a battle royale mode and more, the game has diversified immensely. Recently, Riot Games announced that it was bringing Valorant to mobile. But what about those of us that are more comfortable with consoles? We’re here to answer the burning question in everyone’s minds: is Valorant coming to console?

Is Riot Games Bringing Valorant to Consoles?
A rumor has been going around about Riot Games bringing Valorant to consoles. And just like with mobile, we think that it may finally be happening. This is because of two major reasons:

Job Listings for Console Positions

That’s right, Valorant has job listings for console-specific positions such as Senior Game Designers for Console and Software Engineering Managers. While this may not seem like a big deal, the responsibilities of the Software Engineering Manager include bringing Valorant to consoles as well as transforming the Valorant development team into a multi-platform studio.
Before Riot announced that Valorant was coming to mobile, it had put out job listings for Mobile focused software engineers and programmers. This gives us hope that it will be announcing Valorant coming to console soon as well.
New Code Introduced into Valorant

Riot is introducing new code into the game. And ever since, they seem to unintentionally be creating quite a buzz. Two strings have recently been added to the backend of the game. These strings of code read as:
- Connection to ‘PSN’ has been lost
- Connection to Xbox LIVE has been lost
This code is here for console support. And since Riot is currently modifying the game for mobile versions, we’re unsure how soon consoles will catch up.
These are still rumors that are going around (even though the evidence is pretty solid). But we still think that Valorant is coming to Console and we can’t wait to see when. The rules for cross-platform will be interesting. And will definitely lead to many more Valo players. we’re just glad that the game is free to play.
