Delete Discord Files In Localappdata & Appdata
Discord storage helps to run the PC properly by continuously storing temporary data on the PC. While this may sometimes cause an error which you will need to fix. If you wish to install and run the Discord without an error prompt then you will have to delete these files which are in Localappdata & Appdata.
Step 1: Close Discord (Right-click on the Taskbar and select Task Manager, then select the Discord process and click on End Task)
Step 2: Right-click on Windows Start Button.
Step 3: A contextual menu will appear Select Run.
Step 4: A window will appear enter code ”%appdata%” in the empty field and then select Run.
Step 5: Locate the folder named Discord and Delete it.
Step 6: Return to the Start menu and load up Run once more.
Step 7: Type ‘’%localappdata%’’ and hit ‘’Run’’.
Step 8: Locate the folder named Discord and Delete it again.
Step 9: Relaunch the Discord setup file and follow the steps provided by the installation wizard.

Whitelist Discord Installation Files In Your Antivirus Software
Every antivirus software differs in terms of the whitelisting process. Here we have given the steps of whitelisting Discord in Avast antivirus.
Step 1: Open your Avast Antivirus Software and proceed to Open Avast User Interface.
Step 2: Click on the Protection section.
Step 3: Click on Virus Chest with this all quarantined or blocked files will show up.
Step 4: Locate any files associated with Discord (They will be easy to locate since all start with ”discord_” or something similar)
Step 5: Click on three dots that you will see and select Restore and add exception option.
Step 6: Once done to each and every file go ahead and Restart the installation process.

If you do not want any more future error to occur you will have to add the folder containing the Discord setup executable as an exception in Avast. The steps to do so are also quite simple.
Step 1: Open your Avast Antivirus Software
Step 2: Click on Menu and Select Settings.
Step 3: Click the General section on the left.
Step 4: Select Exceptions options on the left.
Step 5: Click Add Extension and browse to the location of the folder containing the Discord installer.
Step 6: Click Add Extension and launch the Discord setup executable.

Uninstall & Reinstall Discord
Step 1: Click on Start Button and search for Control Panel in Windows.
Step 2: Click on the highlighted Uninstall a program text.
Step 3: Search for Discord and click on the Uninstall button.
Step 4: Right-click on Windows Start Button and select Run
Step 5: Type %appdata% and click Run.
Step 6: Find the Discord folder and delete it.
Step 7: Return to the Start menu and load up Run once more.
Step 8: Type ‘’%localappdata%’’ and delete the Discord folder.
