Galaxy Racer, the largest esports, gaming and lifestyle organization in the world, has elevated Romeo Misao to Country Head for India and Rohin Bhaumik to Director, Creator and Talent, South Asia. Misao was previously the Head of Marketing for India while Bhaumik was the Head of Creator and Talent. Both of them will report to Group CEO Paul Roy.

In his new role, Romeo will lead growth for the business, oversee the organization’s operations, and focus on strengthening the brand’s presence in India. Meanwhile, Rohin will continue focusing on expanding Galaxy Racer’s creator roster in the South Asian market across gaming, lifestyle, and entertainment. He will also work towards establishing business relationships across the region for Galaxy Racer’s various IPs, content acquisition and agency partnerships.

Paul Roy, Group CEO, Galaxy Racer said, “For Galaxy Racer, India has been one of the key markets where we have been working towards expanding our presence and investing in a growing number of content creators. With Romeo and Rohin transitioning into new roles, Galaxy Racer India is now led by one of the most formidable and experienced duos in the gaming, esports and content creation space. I am truly excited to see them spearhead Galaxy Racer’s strategic initiatives in the India and South Asia markets while supporting content creators across esports, gaming, lifestyle and entertainment.”

Commenting on the development, Romeo Misao, Country Head, India, Galaxy Racer, said, “As one of the fastest-growing digital ecosystems in the world, India is a booming market for esports, gaming, and lifestyle content creation. We have the world’s largest youth population who are constantly on the lookout for fresh opportunities which provides a vibrant brand like Galaxy Racer the canvas to innovate and create high-impact initiatives. Needless to say, I am delighted to be leading a team as passionate as the one we have built-in India and we’re looking forward to expanding Galaxy Racer’s presence in this region.”

Romeo Misao has played an instrumental role in the growth of Galaxy Racer in South Asia in his previous role where he led regional marketing initiatives for both Galaxy Racer as well as Nigma Galaxy, the organization’s competitive esports division.

Rohin Bhaumik, Director, Creator and Talent, South Asia, Galaxy Racer, said, “India’s cultural diversity lends itself beautifully to the creation of multiple content types and formats across a wide cross-section of languages. In fact, the last few years have seen a boom in the number of content creators in the country. While their jobs have certainly become more rewarding, the competition within the industry has made life equally challenging as well. This is where a brand like Galaxy Racer comes in – we believe in incubating creators from the get-go and helping them realize their full brand potential. Galaxy Racer has always prided itself on its close relationships with the best creators of a region and we look forward to building more such fruitful associations here in the months to come.”

In his previous role, Rohin Bhaumik was instrumental in building Galaxy Racer’s creator roster, signing on creators in the gaming vertical with a combined total reach of over 20 million. He has also executed successful brand campaigns and white label deals for the organization.

Galaxy Racer recently announced its vision to strengthen its focus on the India and South Asia markets, onboarding top creators from across India, Nepal and Bangladesh. With Romeo and Rohin’s deep understanding of the esports, gaming and content spaces and Galaxy Racer’s global footprint, the company will now have a more focused approach to content acquisition and IP building for clients across esports, gaming, and lifestyle and entertainment.
