Attack and Special Attack are two types of attack stats in Pokemon Unite. While Attack commonly refers to Physical Attacks including basic and auto attacks, special attacks are more energy-oriented attacks. In this guide, we will take a look at both attack stats and dwell upon the importance of each one in a battle.

As we stated before, Attack refers to Physical Attacks in Pokemon Unite. Almost all the auto-attacks in Pokemon Unite are Physical including Special Attack Pokemon moves. However, the exceptions to this rule are Enchanted Attacks.

There are a number of items like Muscle Band, Float Stone, Attack Weight, and X-Attack (Active) that can boost the Physical Attack of a Pokemon.

What Is Special Attack?

The auto attack of any Special Attack Pokemon will be a Physical Attack. However, the boosted attack for these Pokemon will be Special. There are a number of items that can boost a Special Attack. These include Shell Bell, Wise Glasses, Sp. Atk. Specs, and X-Attack (Active).

Special Attack Pokemon

  • Alolan Ninetails
  • Cramorant
  • Eldegoss
  • Gardevoir
  • Gengar
  • Mr. Mime
  • PIkachu
  • Slowbro
  • Venusaur
  • Wigglytuff

Attack Vs. Special Attack In Pokemon Unite

Both stats are equally important in Pokemon Unite. You should have a balanced number of Physical and Special Attackers in your team. While Special Attacks give unique buffs that can aid you in a match, Physical Attacks can cause greater damage. In addition, Physical Attacks usually offers a life steal bonus starting from 5% and going up to 15% from level 5 to 15. However, Special Attacks do not offer this.

Usually, Pokemon are stronger in one of the two stats. To have a well-balanced team that will perform well, you should opt for an even number of Physical Attackers combined with Special Attackers.
