Cottage living is one of the new expansions in Sims 4 where you can build a coop and experience the farm life. Once you have the extension all you have to do is build a coop and buy some chickens, cows, or other animals.

We all know how much of a mess chickens are which is why players should clean the chicken coop regularly. Here’s how to clean the chicken coop in Sims 4.

The process is very simple, when you hover the cursor on the chicken coop or any other coop you will be able to see how clean it is. Click on the Chicken coop and you will see multiple options, press the “clean” button and your sim will clean the chicken coop.

While the process is easy it’s an important one because the productivity of the chickens depends on it. Sometimes the Chicken coop will be clean but the chicken will be dirty. In such cases, players can go to each of the chickens and preen them one by one. Once near a chicken just click on it and you will see the preening option, click on the option your sim will preen the chicken.

Why You Should Clean The Chicken Coop In Sims 4 Cottage Living

The cleaner the coop and the chicken are the happier and more productive they will be. You can hover the mouse on the chicken to know how happy, hungry, and clean the chicken is. The number of eggs the chicken will lay is also dependent on how clean the chicken is and how clean the chicken’s coop is. If the chicken is not very happy it might attack your sim as well so make sure you feed them well and clean the chicken coop regularly.
