    Fortnite: Illegal Restart

Here is everything that you need to know about the competitive illegal restart warning:

    What is an Illegal Restart?

The action of losing and re-entering a competitive tournament in Fortnite is called an ‘Illegal Restart’. This will count even if you enter the same tournament as part of a different team, through another server (through VPN) or even through another account (such as smurfers).

What happens if You Continue with the Same Behaviour?

While Epic has referenced the illegal restart in their rules previously, Fortnite hasn’t put out an official clarification on the same. And so, if players are continue with the same behaviour, Epic will be forced to ban their accounts. This entails a complete account ban that will mean the loss of skins, XP and basically all player progress. So, stick to the rules and everything will be okay.

I Have Not Made an Illegal Restart but still got a Warning

If you have not made an illegal restart or haven’t used bad competitive behaviour then you can just ignore the warning. As Fortnite has also accidentally sent the illegal restart warnings to certain players who have not done anything wrong. And have apologised for the same in Fortnite’s recent Tweet.

How do I Stop Getting the Warning?

Well, the simple answer to this is to simply follow the rules and play fairly. If you leave the game, for whatever reason, wait for another to begin. And remember to stay in the same team, region and account when playing a single tournament. You should be good to go then.

Well, that’s all that you need to know about the Fortnite illegal restart warning in 2022. Epic is taking strict action against cheaters as they wish to have clean games played. Apart from this, knowing that one team is cheating is disheartening as a player. And having a level playing field is always the first priority.
