A few days after ‘The Launch Party’ event, Krafton has finally revealed the teaser of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI)’s first Esports tournament, whose exact launch date is yet to be unveiled.
For the unversed, BGMI’s first Esport tournament would be called ‘India Series Battlegrounds Mobile India 2021.” The teaser has not revealed anything about the upcoming Esport tournament such as prize money, release date, formate, and more.

Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2022 Tournament Date
Krafton might have dropped a couple of teasers of BGMI’s first Esports tournament, but they have not revealed the official release date as of yet. In the latest trailer, Krafton announced that the registrations will begin from 19th July. It will be open for all and players will be able to register in the BGMI app itself
BGMI India Series 2022 Registration Date And Process
There are numerous reports floating on the internet claiming that Krafton will drop the registration date and process on July 15th, 2021. If anything to go by media reports, the BGMI India Series Esports tournament will kick start on August 2nd, 2021 and it will run for the next months.
Those who want to take part in this Esports tournament must be at the Platinum tier in the game. Since the iOS version of BGMI is yet to be officially launched, the first tournament is going to be exclusive for Android users.
Who Will Host the BGMI Series India 2022 Tournament?
As per a report in GemWire, BGMI’s first-ever Esports tournament will be organized by Tesseract Esports. For the unversed, this is the same organization that used to host Esports tournaments for PUBG Mobile when it was not banned in India.

According to media reports, the upcoming tournament will have a prize pool of Rs 1 Cr. If the reports turn out true, BGMI Series India 2021 would be the biggest Esports tournament held in the history of Gaming.
BGMI India Series 2022 Format
Unlike the ‘The Launch Party’ event, BGMI Series India 2021 would be open to everyone. As we have mentioned above, players who want to take part in this tournament must have a Platinum tier or higher tier.
