Exchange Friends Codes
The first method requires Pokemon Unite players to exchange their codes. If you don’t know how it is done then follow the given steps:
- Open Pokemon Unite on your phone.
- Tap on ‘Unite Battle’ located in the bottom right corner of the screen to start a lobby.
- Tap one of the ‘+’ signs around your characters to open up your friends’ list.
- Now, you will have to select the person with who you want to play Pokemon Unite.
- Doing this will show a pop-up on your friend’s screen.
- What all they need to do is simply interact with the notification to join your lobby.
- That’s it.
Using a Lobby ID
If you have not added any friends in Pokemon Unite and want to play with someone you are not friends with, you will have to invite them to your game without adding their friend code.
- Launch Pokemon Unite
- Tap on the ‘Unite Battle’ option and start a lobby.
- On the top right corner of the screen, you will see your Pokemon Unite Lobby ID.
- You will need to share this Lobby ID with players who you want to play the game.
- The player who you want to play the game must enter the Lobby ID into the Lobby Search option located above the Unite Battle button.
- When you tap on it, a new window will appear on the screen asking you to enter Lobby ID.
- Once entered, tap on the OK button.
Using Pokemon Trainer ID
Since Pokemon Unite supports crossplay between Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS users, players can add anyone playing the game by using their Pokemon Trainer ID.
- Open Pokemon Unite
- Tap on your Avatar located in the top right corner of the screen.
- Go to Friends Tab and then Friends Search
- Enter the Pokemon Trainer ID of your friends into the text box that says “Enter a Trainer ID to search.”
- Once entered, tap on the Search icon.
- Now, you can send friend requests to your friends by clicking on the ‘+’ icon.
- Wait until your friend accepts the request.
- Once accepted, go to the main screen of the game
- Tap on Unite Battle to start your lobby.
- Tap on the ‘+’ icon to open up your friend’s list.
- Tap on the ‘Invitation’ option next to your friend to send him or her an invitation.
