By using luck, you can increase your chances of unhooking yourself in Dead by Daylight (DBD). Unfortunately, you will not be able to increase your chances of escaping bear traps. Nor will you be able to increase your chances of finding a rare item in chests.
How will I know if Luck has had Any Effect?
If Luck has affected your action in Dead by Daylight (DBD), then the ‘chance proficiency indicator’ will show the same in the HUD as well.
Why is Luck so specific to Self-unhooking?
The reason why Luck has very little effect on the survivor’s gain is that this has a direct impact on the killer. To keep the playing field fair, it is important to give both sides an equal if not a level-headed advantage. Even though you can increase your chances of a safe unhooking, it does still make the killer’s job harder. The only compromise made by the devs of Dead by Daylight (DBD) was to allow the survivor the chance of escaping the hook by using Luck.
Even though it may just be a small amount, luck helps you and your allies in your greatest time of need.
