Reliance Jio in talks with PUBG Corp to bring back PUBG Mobile to India: Report

If Reliance Jio collaborates with PUBG Corporation, it would surely help Reliance Industries to get into the gaming market.

A few weeks after the Indian Government announced to ban massive popular Battle Royal game PUBG Mobile in India, a report surfaced on the internet stating that the developer of the game, PUBG Corporation is in talks with Reliance Jio to revive PUBG  Mobile in India.

As per a report in Hindu Business Line, the talks are currently under early stages and officials from both the sides are working out the details as to how a deal might be structured.

The same report has quoted yet another source claiming that both Reliance Jio and PUBG Corporation have already put their legal teams to work out the details for revenue sharing. Currently, there are two possibilities, one is 50-50 split and the second one is Jio guarantees the PUBG Corporation revenues on the basis of fixed numbers of users every month.

If Reliance Jio collaborates with PUBG Corporation, it would surely help Reliance Industries to get into the gaming market in the times to come. During a talk with Microsoft Corporations Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella, Mukesh Ambani — Chairman of Reliance Industries — had said, “Gaming will be bigger than music, movies and television shows put together and that it has huge potential to grow in India.”

For the unversed, ever since the Indian Government banned PUBG Mobile in India, the game is nowhere to be seen on either Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
