What Is the Maps Not Downloading And Matchmaking Issue In BGMI?

When trying to access a particular map you will see a 0.1 MB download but the problem begins when you try to download it. Players who already had the maps and players who didn’t have the maps both aren’t able to access them.

You won’t be able to download the update or access the map in BGMI. Many players have already tried the OG restart trick and changing the internet source but found no fix. Krafton has already acknowledged the problem on their official Instagram handle and said that they are actively trying to fix it. As of now, there is no official fix but we might have some fix for you.

How To Fix Maps Not Downloading And Matchmaking Issue In BGMI in 2023?

To fix the downloading map and matchmaking issue in BGMI, you have to delete some patch files from your device. Follow the below-mentioned steps to find and delete the file and fix the issue.

  • Go to your file manager (any file manager app you use) and click on the “Android” button.
  • Click on the “data” button and it will open another menu.
  • Scroll down until you find a folder named “com.pubg.imobile” and then click on it.
  • Click on the “files” button and then click on “UE4Game” button.
  • You will see two options, click on the “ShadowTrackerExtra” button and then again click on the “ShadowTrackerExtra” button.
  • Now click on “Saved” button and scroll down to locate the “Paks” menu, once you find it open it.
  • In the “Paks folder scroll down further and you will find three files named “game_patch”. Delete all three of them and then try starting the game again.

Now you should be able to access all the maps and won’t face any matchmaking issues as well.
