With a franchise that’s been around as long as this one, Easter Eggs are bound to be sprinkled in for the loyal fans. Fans are not going to be disappointed with the movie in this regard. There is a healthy dose of Easter Eggs in Jurassic World Dominion.

Let us discuss each of these in detail below.

The Old Cast Returns

This is not so much a hidden Easter Egg as fan service. However, fans are sure to love the return of Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler, and Dr. Ian Malcom. Things are a little different now as Dr. Sattler has split up with her husband and Dr. Grant might be developing a crush. As for Dr. Ian Malcom…things are pretty much the same. It is quite an iconic landmark as it is the first time all three actors have come together since the original film.

Dr. Lewis Dodgson Also Makes A Comeback

Massive fans of the franchise might have caught this but it’s one of the easy Easter Eggs to miss in Jurassic World Dominion. Cameron Thor played a minor villainous role in the original 1993 Jurassic Park. He met up with Dennis Nedry in Costa Rica to discuss the plans to steal dinosaur embryos. Campbell Scott is now reviving the character as a villain for Jurassic World Dominion. On the topic of Dr. Lewis Dodgson, our next Easter Egg deals with a certain Barbasol can.

The Barbasol Can

Dr. Lewis Dodgson gives Dennis Nedry a Barbasol canto steal and hide the dinosaur embryos. Though Nedry doesn’t make it out of the movie alive, the can of Barbasol made its way back to Dodgson. Fans will see the can displayed in his office. It is a cool nod to the original movie.

Dr. Alan Holds On To His Hat

Even after all these years, Dr. Alan Grant has not parted with his iconic hat. In fact, he goes against a group of Dimetrodon to protect the hat. It’s good to see that while a lot has changed, some things stay exactly the same.

The Drastic Distraction Returns

One of the most iconic moments for Dr. Ian Malcom was the moment he used a flare to distract a T-Rex. While the trick may not have worked then, he recreates it to better results in this movie. At least, no unsuspecting victim becomes dinosaur dinner this time.

Blue’s Eggs Are In Danger

In a plot point that is quite similar to the original movie, Blue’s Egg is stolen from her in the first half of the movie. This is quite reminiscent of the plot in the original movie. However, the stakes feel a little higher as fans have grown attached to Blue by this point of time.

Dr. Lewis Dodgson Meets His Demise In A Familiar Way

The villainous Dodgson doesn’t make it out of this movie alive. However, the way he meets his demise is eerily similar to another character in the original Jurassic Park character. Dennis Nedry was blinded and killed by Dilophosaurus in the original movie. Similarly, Dodgson falls prey to the same fate as he is trying to escape.

Similar Ending

In a moment that is strikingly similar to the original movie, a Giganotosaurus that is attacking the main characters is defeated by the tag team of T-Rex and Therizinosaurus.
