Kage is the village leader of hidden villages of ninjas in the Five Great Shinobi Countries. Kage means Shadow and there is total five kage positions; Hokage, Kazekage, Mizukage, Raikage and Tsuchikage. Where Ho is shadow, Kaze is wind, Mizu is water, Rai is lighting and Tsuchi is earth. Naruto Hokage Explained
Hokage is of Konohagakure territory, Kazekage is from Sunagakure, Mizukage from Kirigakure, Raikage ffrom Kumogakure, and Tsuchikage from Iwagakure. Kage is known to be the most powerful ninja in their territory and all of them only get together during Kage Summit. Hashirama Senju was the first Hokage who created Konohagakure, this position was not hereditary. Current Hokage chose his/her successor who could take his/her position after their death or if they become debilitated.
Hashirama Senju: First Hokage
He was from a Senju clan and was called “God of Shinobi”, he founded Konohagakure with his people and friend. He was considered the strongest shinobi of his time.
Tobirama Senju: Second Hokage
He was the fastest ninja of his time, and he invented the shadow clone jujutsu technique, he had control of all five basic elements.
Hiruzen Sarutobi: Third Hokage
He was the disciple of Tobirama and he was also known as the “God of Shinobi”. He could control all five basic elements too just like his predecessor.
Minato Namikaze : Fourth Hokage
He’s the father of Naruto who left part of Nine-tails in Naruto before his death. He was famous for his speed and was known as “Konoha’s Yellow Flash”.
Tsunade: Fifth Hokage
The first female Hokage belonged to the Senju clan and was known for her healing powers.
Kakashi Hatake: Sixth Hokage
He belongs to the Hatake clan and is known as “Kakashi of the Sharingan” and copy ninja.
Naruto Uzumaki: Seventh Hokage
He’s a protagonist of the Naruto series whose dream is to become Hokage, as his adventure progresses, he gets the name “Hero of the Hidden Leaf”.
