While players can pick any type of partner for marriage, it is better if they have an idea about what they are looking for. Players can either marry a rich person and add to the family finances or marry for love and not worry about the bank balance. Moreover, players might also want to go for someone that has the same career as them. All of these goals are available in the game and yield rewards when completed successfully.

Adults in Virtual Families 3 will receive an email on their computer about prospective marriage matches. Players can look at these matches and accept a proposal or reject them and wait for a better option. To receive these emails, players must make sure that they have created a matchmaking profile on Cinder for their character. Here, players can also select specific gender or interest preferences.

After players have done this, they just need to wait for a mail to arrive with a match. If players accept the proposal, their character will get married and their spouse will be added to the house in Virtual Families 3. The newlyweds will celebrate the occasion with cake and dinner. Players will get a message about the new union in the game.

In case players do not like the matches they receive, they can reject them and wait for new proposals. However, proposals become rarer the more players reject them.
