Unfortunately, as the latest version struck the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, Free Fire addicts quickly downloaded/updated the game. However, when they opened the game, an error occurred killing their excitement.

What Is Free Fire Not Opening Today?
Like said earlier, yesterday players were unable to access Free Fire’s new patch, and the “the server will be ready soon” message popped-up on their screen.
Such an error transpired as a result of the ongoing maintenance of the game’s server. To inform the audience of the accessibility of the game, Garena on Instagram confirmed the exact timing with a message saying,
“Get ready for the new update coming soon. Maintenance will begin tomorrow starting at 9:30 am – 6:00 pm (IST). During this time, you will not be able to enter the game, but you can continue playing as usual and experience the new patch as soon as you update after the maintenance. Look forward to an updated Training Map, Revival System, Clash Squad, and more!”
The servers will be maintained as follows:
- Start time: 9:30 AM IST (GMT +5:30) on the 4th of February, 2021.
- End time: 6:00 PM IST (GMT +5.30) on 4 February 2021

The Free Fire OB26 update is available on Google Play Store/Apple App Store. But players will not be allowed to play the game before the server maintenance is done.
