Strive is the latest instalment in the Guilty Gear franchise and arguably one of the most awaited. We all know how GG doesn’t rely on combat, the combat genre at some point relied on the Guilty Gear games. With so much combat a Tier list becomes the first thing you should check out before getting into the game. Here’s a complete Tier list of all the playable characters in Guilty Gear Strive.
GG Strive Tier List – January 2023
Out Guilty Gear Strive tier list has divided characters into 5 layers — S, A, B, C, and D with S being the strongest and D being the weakest. Here are all GG Strive characters ranked Tier wise.
Tier S
- Sol Badguy
Sol as of now is the strongest character in the game with balanced powers and high-damage attacks. Even though it’s very early it’s safe to say if not 1 Sol Badguy will be in the top 5 characters in the game.
Tier A
- Ramlethal Valentine
- Nagoriyuki
- May
- Giovanna
While Tier S is the best Tier A characters are better when accessibility is taken into account. Tier A characters have simpler combos which makes it a better choice especially in the initial days of the game.
Tier B
- Potemkin
- Axl Low
- I-No
- Ky Kiske
Tier B characters test your combat skills as they do have impressive combos but it depends on the players and their combat skills. Players will have to spend some more time mastering these characters when compared to Tier A.
Tier C
- Anji Mito
- Zato-1
- Faust
- Leo Whitefang
The skill gap between Tier B and Tier C is very thin in Guilty Gear Strive. This is a plus point as you get more Tier B characters to choose from.
Tier D
- Millia Rage
- Chipp Zanuff
We won’t recommend you to go below Tier C but in case you do there won’t be much difference between the 2. Sometime later the developers might add more character in Tier D but until then choosing any of these won’t make a difference.
It’s been mere days since the release of Guilty Gear Strive which is why the tier list has limited characters. We will update the Tier list as soon as the developers introduce new characters. The tier list is completely based on our opinion so it might be completely possible that you might disagree with it.
