Common App is undoubtedly one of the most popular applications used by Students in Canada, China, Japan and some European countries. There are tons of users who use this admission app to apply to more than 900 member colleges and universities in the said regions. Unfortunately, there are plenty of users who are currently having issues while using the Common App.

The University of Southern California took to Twitter and informed applicants that they have extended their deadline to 11:59 on December 2. Notably, the deadline extension can only be applied to first-year applicants who want to be considered for merit scholarships as well as any majors in the first year and transfer process that originally had a December 1 deadline.
Here are a few possible solutions that you can try:
Method 1: Update The Common App
If you are having the Common App submission error or the Common App not working for you then go to Play Store and check if there is any update available for the app. If there is any update available, make sure to update your app to the latest version. Once you have successfully updated the Common App, launch the application and see if you still encounter the same issues.

Method 2: Clear Cache
If you continue to face issues while launching the Common App and want to get it fixed then you must clear the Cache of the application. Onc you are done clearing the Cache, you will be able to use the application smoothly.
Method 3: Remove & Reinstall The App
If you are not getting an option to update the application and don’t know how clear the cache then I advise you to uninstall and reinstall the Common App. Once you have successfully reinstalled the app, launch the app and see if the error remains.
Method 4: Check Server Status of the Common App
If none of the methods worked for you must check out whether the servers of the Common App are up or down. If the servers of the Common App are down then you are bound to encounter numerous issues. To check the server status of the Common App, you will have to either visit a third-party site called ‘Downdetector’ or the official Twitter handle of the Common App.
If servers of the Common App are down for maintenance, you have no option but to wait until the devs lift the maintenance.
