Draft Pick Pokemon Unite Guide

Draft Pick is a new battle system where Trainers with 12 or more Pokemon Unite Licenses can participate. It is a strategic battle, which goes through three stages before commencing. For now, this type of match is only available in Tournament and Custom modes. Let us now go through those stages.

Draft Pick: Ban Phase

Here you, your allies, and your opponents get to vote on one Pokemon, which will get banned and no player in that particular match would be able to choose it as their battle Pokemon. The Pokemon with the highest votes from each team gets banned. And if there are more than one Pokemon with the same number of votes, then the system will randomly choose one to ban. This feature will be helpful for you if you are not the first, second, or third player. As those Trainers will pick the best ones if available.

Draft Pick: Pick Phase

In this stage, you will get 20 seconds to pick one Pokemon and select Path. The system lets you pick the Pokemon based on your Position and team. You can request your allies to switch positions with you. And unlike other types of matches, you and your opponent cannot have the same Pokemon in a team.

Draft Pick: Final Preparations

This is the final phase which will last for 20 seconds. And here you get a chance to swap your Pokemon with your ally’s Pokemon. On this screen, you will see the “Battle Prep” button in the left corner. You can edit Battle items, Held items, Moveset, and Map path from the Battle Prep screen.

This is all about the Draft Pick in Pokemon Unite. If you found this helpful, then check out the Custom battle guide and if players can use the same Pokemon.
