Pokemon Unite: Unite Battle Guide

Unite Battles are the matches that you play in Pokemon Unite. There are 4 modes of battles in this game namely Custom, Quick, Ranked, and Standard. And in this guide, we have discussed the full overview of the standard Unite battles in Pokemon Unite. After going through this guide, you will be able to know all about the game mode. Being familiar with the mode will help you make better strategies and attempt to win.

What is the Unite Battle Mode in Pokemon Unite?

The Unite Battle Mode in Pokemon Unite is the Standard Battle mode. This battle lasts for 10 minutes and each team has 5 players. This mode has 2 maps to choose from, Remoat Stadium (Snow and Ice) and Theia Sky Ruins.

When you click on the Unite Battle button on the main screen, the standard mode will be selected by default. You can either start a Random Match or a CPU Match. You can toggle between these options through a drop-down button just above the Start button.

Upon clicking on the Start button, the matchmaking process will commence. You have to click on the Ready button to advance further. Once all the players are ready, you will get the chance to pick your Pokemon. It depends solely on the player to choose from the list of Pokemon unlocked by the player.

Once all the players in a team have confirmed their choice, the match begins. The map of the battlefield is divided into 3 lanes. Top, Mid, and Bottom. The Mid lane consists of the Jungle area where you will find most of the wild Pokemon. These Pokemon are important because they hold a small amount of Aeos Energy. This energy helps your Pokemon to level up and get stronger.

What is Aeos Energy?

Aeos Energy is a very essential component in a battle. This Energy not only helps your Pokemon to evolve but also helps you score goals. At the bottom center of your screen, you will see a Pokeball icon. Near this icon, you’ll see the number of Energy you’ve collected. Once the limit is achieved, you can head over to the enemy Goal Zone and score.

Each team will have 5 Goal Zones spread throughout the map. You have to defend your Goal zone and attack the enemy Pokemon when they charge rapidly at your Goal Zones. Attacking the Pokemon while scoring a goal will deflect the goal and you can take control of the game back.

Also, your team’s Goal Zone will heal your Pokemon when it is over it. So, if your HP is low, rush to your nearest Goal Zone and restore your HP before jumping back in. The more goals you score, the more points your team gets. Now, the victory or defeat of any team will be calculated on the number of points scored.

At certain intervals in the game, powerful wild Pokemon will appear that have more Aeos Energy. Once you defeat that wild Pokemon, your team will get the advantage in points.

However, remember that whoever makes the last attack, gets the point. So, it doesn’t matter who started attacking the Pokemon, or who landed the toughest blow. If you manage to hit the last strike at the Pokemon, your team will get the Energy.
