Solgaleo and Lunala are the third stages of the Cosmog family. That got introduced in the new Astral Eclipse Event. Pokemon GO: How to Evolve Cosmoem And Get Solgaleo or Lunala
The process of Solgaleo or Lunala evolution starts from Cosmog. We first need to evolve Cosmog into Cosmoem, which requires 25 candies. You get only one Cosmog from the Cosmic Companion research quest, so you will have just one Cosmoem. Meaning you can either evolve it into Solgaleo or Lunala but not both.
The option to evolve Cosmoem into Solgaleo or Lunala will appear on page 9 of the Cosmic Companion research. And you might need to restart your game or in some cases device to see the option. Once you have restarted the game search for Cosmoem and tap to open its detail window. Now you will see two new buttons below the Power Up button. One button will have a lion-like shadow and a sun symbol. Another will have a bat-like shadow with a crescent symbol. And depending on the time of the day, one button will be active. Simply put, you can evolve Solgaleo in the daytime and Lunala in the nighttime. And both of them need 100 candies for evolution, so make sure not to waste any candy while completing research pages.
