Kirby and the Forgotten Land has become one of the best games out there. With amazing boss fights and super interesting gameplay, it’s no wonder so many of us are hooked to it. But the game is challenging to say the least. With every boss stronger than the other, it’s almost impossible to beat the final Boss in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Fecto Elfilis. Almost. There are of course a few ways that you can beat it, but it definitely isn’t an easy win.
Kirby And The Forgotten Land: How to beat Final Boss Fecto Elfilis?
Phase One
To beat this boss, you will first have to choose between any one of the Copy Abilities.
You must choose well as the boss is super fast and Fecto Elfilis’ hits provide an insane amount of damage. Luckily, a Maximus Tomato is available on the staircase to the helicopter pad as well. This keeps Kirby at his highest performance capability.
We suggest that you choose between the Giant sword, Space ranger and Dragon fire abilities. If you haven’t upgraded the abilities that you want to fight with, then go ahead do that first. The Fecto Elfilis is too strong to go in with an underdeveloped weapon of your choice.
At the beginning of this stage, Fecto Elfilis is in the air. And it will attack by firing projectiles from its staff at you. From practice with the other bosses, these will not be too difficult to evade.
After the first few hits, it will come charging at Kirby, straight from the sky. Be ready to jump to the side as Elfilis lands as it will release a shockwave as well. This is your best time to shoot it with whatever you have. The few seconds between when it lands and gets up are the most precious of all.
After this comes the beam attack, where Fecto Elfilis chases Kirby at an angle and leaves a blazing trail of light in its wake. If Elfilis catches you in this attack, it will cause a major loss in health.
Sometimes, Elfilis combines two attacks at once, such as launching projectiles in the middle of the fight and before they’re fully done, it will lunge at Kirby from the sky. Elfilis may even shoot projectiles at you from the ground itself as well. Be ready for it!
If you thought that this was tough, Kirby and the Forgotten Land has a lot more in store for phase two, where Fecto Elfilis comes at you with the same effects and more!
Phase Two
When Fecto Elfilis has received sufficient damage (around 60% damage), it will open up a wormhole and start shooting meteors at Kirby. This power move will usually end with the final meteor being almost the size of the entire platform that Kirby is on. If you’re lucky enough, then maybe you can get to the side that is not consumed by the shadow in the nick of time.
You will be prepared for this slightly as when it is at 50%, it will open up four portals in the sky to hit Kirby with a bunch of staves.
Another attack that Elfilis uses is forming clones to confuse Kirby as he shoots or fights back. Be careful to find the right Elfilis in time before you fire a power move.
Apart from this, Fecto Elfilis also strikes what looks to be hot lava at Kirby as it flies right above. It usually does this in straight lines, for about three to four times each.
In this phase, Elfilis has no mercy and might even hit you with a couple of projectiles right from the ground itself. The best that you can do is shoot at it as much as you can while staying out of the way of its powerful attacks. Not as easy as it sounds, unfortunately.
When you finally defeat Elfilis, its health bar will go down to the absolute bottom and Elfilin is revealed.
Using his mouthful power, Kirby can now jump on and force Elfilin out.
Elfilin will finally come out and detach from Fecto Elfilis.
This will leave Fecto Elfilis melting like when it was in its Fecto Forgo version.
Fortunately for us, this will be an easier battle to win as Kirby uses his mouthful ability to take over a truck. And drive from road to road to Fecto Elfilis.
That marks the end of the Boss battle between Fecto Elfilis and Kirby and the start of the end credits of Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
