The inaugural Commonwealth Esports Championships (CWG) 2022 is set to take place in Birmingham, England from August 1 to August 7. CWG 2022 Esports will comprise of eFootball, DOTA 2, and Rocket League.
The Indian team competing in DOTA 2 category comprises Moin Ejaz (captain), Ketan Goyal, Abhishek Yadav, Shubham Goli, and Vishal Vernekar. This team has won four of their six matches in their regional qualifiers. This is also the same team that represented India in the Asian Games 2022.

Commonwealth Esports Championships (CWG) 2022 Schedule & Groups
The preliminary rounds for the CWG 2022 Esports are scheduled to take place between August 3-5. Meanwhile, the semifinal and final events for the Championships will be held from August 6-7.
India has qualified for DOTA 2 and Rocket League in Group A and Group B respectively. Group A for DOTA 2 also includes Trinidad & Tobago, England, and Wales. Meanwhile, Group B for Rocket League has Canada, England, and Wales alongside India.
