The boy band which comprises of Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga, RM and V has a large fan base in India. So, it is understandable why the news of BTS being banned in India would upset a lot of people. However, is there any truth to the news? We are glad to inform you that the answer to that question is a resounding no.

The BTS has not been banned in India. Fans can still access all their songs on platforms like YouTube, Spotify, etc. This rumor is quite similar to the one started earlier this year. In that instance the culprit behind the mayhem was a false tweet.

As per the fake tweet, “The Indian government has banned the famous South Korean band ‘BTS’, saying that their influence is a threat to the Indian youth.”

Just like that time though, the news is still fake. The BTS Army is not loosing access to their favorite boy band. Multiple sources have confirmed that there are no immediate plans to ban BTS in India.

Fans should verify the sources before spreading this information as many times fake news can cause a lot of unnecessary chaos. BTS is even aware of their huge fan base in India. A viral video of  the band shows the BTS boys greeting fans with a Namaste.
