If you have just started playing The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) and considering to dive headfirst into the Greymoor expansion then it is likely that you might be wondering about cross-play. There are thousands of people who are asking the same question on the internet ‘ Does The Elder Scrolls Online support cross-platform play’?

If you too have the same question then look no further as we have explained each and everything in this article.

Is The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) Cross Platform?

Sadly, The Elder Scrolls Online does not support cross-platform as of yet. It means, if you are playing ESO on PC then you would not be able to team up with people playing the same game on Xbox One and PS4. The only reason why ESO does not support cross-platform is the game hosts separate servers for each platform.

If you want to play The Elder Scrolls Online with your friends, you can team up with your friends playing the game on the same system as you are. While this is certainly disappointing to thousands of ESO players.

There is a debate going on in the gaming community about keyboard and mouse players having an advantage over people using a controller. Since the Elder Scrolls Online has a big focus on PvP, if they ever add cross-play, it will divide the gaming community in two. So as it stands right now, it doesn’t look like The Elder Scrolls Online would not be supporting cross-platform play at anytime soon.

The Elder Scrolls Online does not support cross-platform, this does not that you can’t play with your friends. Here’s how to add a friend in the ESO for PC, Xbox One and PS4.

    PC:

    Xbox One:

    PlayStation 4:

    -Open your Contacts menu

-Add your friend’s character name or UserID

-Select their name and send a friend request

    -Open up the Guild menu

-Select a friend from your Xbox One friend’s list

-You can also add a friend in-game by approaching their character, selecting the menu, and choosing “Add as Friend”

    -Open up the Guild menu

-Select a friend from your PlayStation 4 friend’s list

-You can also add a friend in-game by approaching their character, selecting the menu, and choosing “Add as Friend”

Once you have managed to add a friend in the ESO, you will be able to do quests together or explore Skyrim by clicking on their name and selecting “Travel to Player.”

That’s basically all you need to know about how to play the ESO with friends.
